It’s a great way to get fit and give something back. And what makes it totally different from other charity challenges is that you get to create a bespoke sporting challenge this year that’s personal to YOU.
It’s also part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games official mass participation legacy. So by taking up the challenge you’ll be part of the excitement in the run up to them. Stop thinking about it, register now and go for it!

It's Judo January!
The Gold Challenge will now be shining a spotlight on a different Olympic and Paralympic Sport throughout the year. This way, you will get to find out more about them, see what they have to offer, and really get an insight into how they work. We think that the more you know about the sport, the more you’ll be inspired to try it out! Please keep an eye on the Gold Challenge homepage to see what sport is being featured and click on it to find out more. You never know, it could be the one you’ve been waiting for.
This month it’s Judo January! And to celebrate this fact the Gold Challenge, in partnership with British Judo
, is offering an opportunity for two people to attend the British Judo Performance Institute to see where our London 2012 hopefuls train. The first 100 Challengers to complete three hours of judo coaching will be in with a chance of winning. Keep an eye on our Judo January page to find out more details soon!
A Unique Way To Take On Your Gold Challenge
Stuck for ideas on how to get your team started with your Gold Challenge? Then why not take a leaf out of Limelight Sports’ book. They’ve taken on the 30 Sport Team Gold Challenge, but they’ve got a very interesting way of assigning the sports; each member of the team has to do 5 Sports –simple enough. But to make it more exciting they’ve set up the following rules:
- Limelight Team members have to do 3 sports which are mandatory and chosen by their Team Captain
- 1 sport which they picked at random out of a hat
- 1 sport which they chose themselves.
It sounds like great fun to us, and could be a great way for you to do your Gold Challenge too.
Get Ready, Set, Blog!
January also sees the launch of our brand new Gold Challenge Blog. It’s here that we will chronicle what’s going on in the Gold Challenge world, feature guest entries from super stars in the sporting world, as well as much more. Along with Facebook and
Twitter, it will be a great way for you to keep up to date with all our news, and find out a little bit more about the Gold Challenge and the people & organisations behind us.
That’s all from us for now, so good luck with your Gold Challenge!
